These sharks dont want a stanley cup

The bottom line is that while watching the game tonight the ducks were the better team. I must give an honorable mention to Jonathan Cheechoo who next to Hiller was the best player on the ice. Aside from Cheechoo however the sharks had no passion and no desire to win the battles. The ducks played the game knowing that they were going to win and the sharks played hoping just hoping that they could squize out a win. They couldnt and now there season is pretty much over. Not only have the sharks never in their franchise history recovered from a 0-2 hole but the ducks now only have to win two of their next five games with three of them being on home ice.

If the sharks really wanted to win the stanley cup they would have won tonight. Some how they would have won the game, because that is what champions do. Thats what the ducks did. And look at where they stand in the series. They have only given up 2 goals in 2 games and there powerplay has click 2 out of 6 times and they have killed off 12 striaght penalties. Get real teal. You cant expect to win the Stanley cup without a powerplay goal. You cant win a stanley cup by giving up 1 out of 3 power plays. If you really wanted the stanley cup you would have found a way to reverse this trend tonight. Instead it just became worse.

Right now no one is safe for the sharks. Doug Wilson, Todd McLellan, and any player without a no trade clause can be seen wearing a differant jersey next year because this year the men wearing teal cant do it. Despite the fact that they did an amazing job in the regular season when it really counts they cant win the games. It may be a strech to mentoin that Doug Wilson and Todd McLellan could be out of this organization but lets look at the facts: Doug Wilson as the GM has never made it past the 2nd round and Todd McLellan will have finished one of the best rookie head coaching years with maybe one win in the "real season".

Now clearly my emotions have done a lot of the talking tonight so i will stop now but the bottom line is that these sharks dont want a stanley cup.

  2. I think they'll get their act together! The Sharks will be a different team in game 3. If they win that one they'll win the series. In the meantime I agree with Sheila, join the Canucks' bandwagon.

  3. Hi, Nathan,
Well, I agree with your Mom. And think of the Boston Red Sox fans - how many decades did they wait for their team to get into the world series? And they lost the first three games in a row, then took the next four to become world series champions - for the first time in many decades. Hang in there - as they say, "it ain't over till the fat lady sings"!
In the meantime, we're all pulling for the Sharks!
    Love you!

  4. Thanks sheila i feel way better knowing that my second favourite team is doing well. And Mr.Tener, you are right. If the sharks can start clicking on all cylinders then they can still win this series. Grandma and Grandpa, i dont want to wait decades and decades! that means that all of my favourtie sharks will be retired with out the stanley cup. How sad would that be to see some of the best never kiss the cup? We are talking Joe, Patty, Nabby, Clowe, Cheechoo, Pavelaski, Erehoff, ME Vlasic and whomever else the sharks may acquire or draft. Of course i will wait more years but i really dont want it to be decades upon decades.
